SAWLA Masters

Masters WeightliftingTo be a master in weightlifting you must be over 35 years old for men and women.

 

The Masters base in SA in small at this stage and we are always looking for more members, it is a fun way to keep fit to make friends and to meet new and exciting people from around Australia.

 

Masters compete in their competitions where they battle against themselves and other competitors in there own age and weight classes.

 

Weight classes for men and women are the same as the open classes:

 

Dean PascoeMen: 56kg, 62kg, 69kg, 77kg, 85kg, 94kg, 105kg and 105+kg

Women: 48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 75kg and 75+kg

Each year the Masters hold their National Championships in one of the states around Australia, and where it is a hotly contested event amongst the athletes, It is also a good opportunity to catch up with friends and mates.
